Hate Has No Home Here

Over recent days, we have all seen a troubling rise in hate, racism and islamophobia, with shocking violence in communities across the UK.

At Cynon Taf Community Housing Group, we have a zero tolerance for discrimination, hatred and violence against individuals and communities because of their faith, race or ethnicity and we stand in solidarity with those that have been targeted for these reasons.

Everyone deserves to feel safe in their homes, on their street, at their places of worship and going about their daily business. It is up to all of us to stand up for those whose voices are lost in the violence, to stand against injustice, challenge prejudice and support those targeted because of their differences.

Wales is a nation of sanctuary and CTCHG wholeheartedly supports this. We stand with Tai Pawb and many others who are resolved to create a truly anti-racist Wales.

No one should live in fear. Hate has no place in our communities. Together, we can work for a future where everyone is free to live their lives regardless of their faith, background or race. We will stand strong. We will continue to show kindness, compassion and respect.

If you have been a victim of a hate crime, it is important that you report it or your concerns to South Wales Police or through Victim Support by clicking here. You can also speak to one of our team by calling 0345 260 2633 and we will do everything we can to support you.
